Work schedule

Flexible working arrangements - part-time, job sharing and more

An employee at Wieland will experience constantly changing working hour requirements. Different working time arrangements can be made which suit both the personal requirements of the employee and also the flexible business interests of each situation.

In addition, through over 200 working models and job sharing we offer the opportunity to work with private life to better connect.

Basic tariff applies to staff members for a regular working week from 37 hours (without any breaks).

Long-term account - one of the first lifetime working hours models in Germany

Since 1993, our staff have been able to accumulate time in lieu using a long-term account. The objective is that time deposits over the working life can be made allowing the employee to retire early without jeopardising social or financial requirements. The employees are paid their net salary but need no longer work – all their financial liabilities having been paid during the duration of their employment with Wieland.

Time deposits from the long-term account can – with the agreement of operational management - also be used during the working life, for example, for a longer (world-) journey, building a house or a longer external training course.
