One day about health and safety

On Saturday, 24th July 2010, approx. 1000 employees, including many relatives of the employees as well as Wieland retirees, visited the "Wieland-in-Form-Tag“ .

Despite rain and low temperatures, some 150 runners, cyclists and walkers took part in the event. They mastered the distance between Vöhringen, Senden or Wiblingen and the industrial area ”Ulmer Donautal” superbly.

Despite bad weather the atmosphere was great. Well-equipped with umbrella and rain jacket a lot of people took the opportunity to get information about and to participate in the comprehensive range of possibilites Wieland offered regarding "Health and Safety", including, for example:

  • Human-table-soccer tournament – life-sized football table
  • Vibration training with Power-Plate
  • Fitness test with Cardio Scan
  • Simulation of driving under the influence of alcohol (driving simulator)
  • Climbing wall

  • Nonalcoholic fruit juice "creations"
  • “Paramon” – blood pressure, body fat, weight and BMI including measurement
  • „Pulsana-Mobil“ – maximum force measurement of abdominal and back muscles

  • Short massages
  • Show cooking

The Wieland Ulm and Vöhringen cafeterias offered culinary delights to all visitors.
