These signs are part of the coat of arms of Vöhringen and symbolise the
history and tradition of the town.
With approximately 13,000 inhabitants, Vöhringen is a vibrant town – a town of services and brisk economic activity. Vöhringen also has an educational and sports centre offering a wide range of cultural activities.
A relationship since 1864
The development of Vöhringen has been closely related to Wieland-Werke AG since 1864 when the founder of our company, Philipp Jakob Wieland, bought the local mill, its attached workshop and the water power to run them.
Wieland has been and still is actively engaged in the social and cultural development of the town and its inhabitants.
The town has shown its appreciation of the efforts made by Wieland-Werke AG by, among other things, making Wolfgang Eychmüller, former Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Wieland-Werke AG, an honorary citizen. The town’s Culture Centre was opened in 1993 and is named after him. The Wolfgang-Eychmüller-Haus is the social and cultural centre of the town and the surrounding region. It is a venue suited to numerous events including meetings, concerts, theatrical performances and also weddings and other celebrations.
